“All Things were made Through Him, and without Him Nothing was made that has been made. - John 1:3” (ESV)

Christ, The Divine Architect

When we contemplate the fact that all of this creation came into existence with a divine plan and purpose, our hearts are filled with a deep awe and gratitude toward its Creator. So now we know that this world is not a coincidence, nor is our life on this earth the result of any accident. Everything, whether small or great, visible or invisible, Or, to put it another way, whether it be the Archangel Michael or the lowest-ranking insect, everything has been created by a loving and powerful hand. So when we look around us, whether it's the vastness of the sky, the beauty of nature or the complexities of our lives, it all reminds us that we are part of a greater plan. And in this scheme our life is as important as anyone else's.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the circumstances of our lives that we feel like everything is falling apart, there is no direction in life anymore, and we are left alone. But the truth is that the God who created this entire creation, who is manifested in Jesus Christ, is also taking care of our lives just as He is taking care of this entire creation with His power. As Psalm 139:13–16 says, God formed us in the womb and foreknew our every day. This shows that God knew us even before we were created in the womb. This verse assures us that our lives are not purposeless but part of God's specific plan and that He is not just a distant Creator, but a Father who is deeply involved in the lives of His children at all times.

When we understand this truth, a new peace is born within us. And then we find solace in knowing that our life is no longer meaningless. No matter how small or insignificant the world thinks we are, we are precious in God's eyes, all we need is to repent with a true heart and return to Him who has created us with immeasurable love. This is why He calls us again and again to trust Him. As Proverbs 3:5-7 says, we must trust in Him with all our heart and not rely on our own understanding and wisdom. It teaches us that even if we don't understand everything, we can still trust in the One who knows everything.

Many times we want to have control in our lives. We want everything to happen as per our wish, but when it does not happen, we get disappointed. But when we recognize that our lives are in the hands of the God who created everything, then we can lay our burdens at His feet. Jesus also said in Matthew 11:28 that those who are weary and burdened should come to Him and He will give them rest. This is not just an invitation to the whole world, but a promise from our Lord who can sustain us in every situation. This verse tells us that when the burdens and worries of life become overwhelming, peace and solace of soul can be found by coming to Jesus.

An even deeper aspect of this truth is that the God who created everything also created us with purpose. Our life is not just meant to be lived, but to be lived with a meaning and purpose. As Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” This verse shows that we are saved for good works. This means that every day of our lives is an opportunity for us to love all mankind as Christ does, to serve, to offer a living sacrifice, and to show the light that we have received in Him without cost.

When we take this to heart, our perspective starts changing. Now we start looking at our problems differently. Now they are not meant to break us, but to make us stronger. Romans 8:28 also says that all things work together for the good of those who love God. This verse gives us confidence that even if we are in pain or confused today, God can turn it all into a beautiful outcome just as He created this vast universe of pre-made material and our earth.

So today we need to examine our hearts. Do we really trust in Jesus, the God who created everything? Are we ready to turn our lives into His hands today? Or are we still trying to handle everything on our own? True peace comes to our hearts only when we submit ourselves completely to Him, just as Jesus Himself submitted Himself to the Father for the salvation of mankind and accept that He knows best.

Finally, this truth gives us deep hope that we are not headed toward some unknown or dark future, but rather on a path that has already been prepared for all and especially for those who do His will. The God who created this world is also writing the story of our lives. And each of his stories is filled with love, grace, and purpose. So no matter what your situation is today, remember that you are in the hands of the One who made all things and He never makes a mistake because He is perfect Matthew 5:48.

John 1:3 Prayer

“O my heavenly Father, today I come to your feet remembering the great truth that every particle of this vast universe is an echo of your ‘word’. This verse reminds me that everything visible and invisible has come into existence by you and is the creation of your hands. Father, when I think that the same hands that created the huge stars of the sky have created me too, then my fear is transformed into trust and my love for you is A feeling of respect rises in the mind.

Father, I know that my life is not in vain, because You do not create anything 'in vain' and You yourself, seeing the creation, said that everything is good. So I know you created me for a purpose. Which I find in Jesus.

Upper Room Daily Devotional: Christ, The Divine Architect (John 1:3)

Father, forgive me because sometimes I rely on my little intelligence to solve my problems or to satisfy my physical desires and I walk away from You, thinking that I am powerful and wise. At that time, I forget to give you the glory that you should get from my body and especially from my heart, as if you are not a part of my life. Today I hand over my worries and desires into Your great hands which hold the entire creation. And Father, when all these circumstances force me to break, remind me that You, my Creator, are still seated on Your glorious throne and You have the power to create beauty even from my ashes.

Father, from today onwards every decision I make, every thought and every breath I take should be for Your glory. I submit my will to your sovereignty. With the faith that the One who created everything will make the story of my life complete and perfect. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray this,

Amen.
